Congratulations to Tara Smith from Berkshire and Paul Isherwood, Wiltshire who got married in the Church of the Annuncition, Woodchester, Stroud. The weather may have been very cold but the music at this wedding made up for it to some extent, particularly the organ playing. Proud father of the bride Danny lead his only daughter up the aisle where he was met by Fr. Bill Watson and Rev. Steve Bentley, who made the job of this photographer a joy of a wedding to be part of. After the Church the happy party headed off to a location where for a moment it seemed the clock had been turned back a few hundred years. The reception was held at Berkeley Castle, Gloucestershire, which has been lived in by the same family for over 900 years. It is where history has been made. Where Edward II was murdered, where the Barons of the West gathered before Magna Carta and where Queen Elizabeth I hunted and played bowls. It reminded me of a scene from either the Tudors or Cranford as one looked over the countryside. Keep scrolling down to see more images.

Many thanks to the bridesmaids Suzanne, Sally and Alice and the gents, Owen, Gareth, Steve, Donal and Brendan. A tour of the castle awaited the guests and thereafter we had a meal in some beautiful and ancient surroundings. Thanks to Paul and Tara for their help during the afternoon and we all wish them a long and happy life together. I would like to express my gratitude to Nick who assisted me when needed during the afternoon.
