Photographs of Distinction, Michael O’Byrne

Here is a gentleman who celebrated his birthday with his family out in the Longman. Tom has reached the bright age of 80 years and over this time there is not one person who could say an unkind word about him and rightly so. He worked for many a year in Thomastown Garage when they were the VW dealers and then on the Mahons in Kilkenny.Tom was an expert on lawnmowers and as we all know they are liable to pack up at anytime just when we least expect them. Tom is one person who could get them going again. Keep scrolling down for more pictures.

Here is something to ponder " I'm very pleased with each advancing year. It stems back to when I was forty. I was a bit upset about reaching that milestone, but an older friend consoled me. 'Don't complain about growing old - many, many people do not have that privilege.' Earl Warren (1891 - 1974), Chief Justice.

We all wish Tom many years of happiness and keeping the grass down out around Smithstown. Below is a photograph of his grandaughter Sarah who helped organise the event.

Click here and add a comment on my guestbook and I will pass on any good wishes to Tom.
