At the bottom of Market Street, Thomastown there is the above sign. Anyone looking at it with a bit of knowledge of the area would know that the sign for Gowran is incorrect or is it? Has there been an earthquake, has the road been straightened out, did the village of Dungarvan go down in a hole. Anyway the distance from Thomastown to Gowran is eight miles so three miles have been taken off the road courtesy of the County Council.
