About 550 kilometers east of Cape Town is a rather large town called Knysna and we took the boat trip over to the Nature Reserve which gave us some stunning views of the ocean and lagoon. Whilst entering the boat I was asked for the tickets and gave them to this genial character who asked me what part of Ireland I was from. After I relayed the location he started into singing an old Ralf McTell song called "Its a long way from Clare to here" True it is about ten thousand kilometers but his name was Martin Clohassy and his father came from Clare. One of the finest and most competent guides I have ever been with...loved the way he could relate some stories about the area and made the journey so informative. Whilst in Knysna we were having breakfast one morning as you see below and enjoying the view with another couple one from US and the lady from Spain...turned out she is the sister of Penelope Cruez, you know the actress who was in Captain Correlli's Mandolin and also with Tom Cruise for awhile. Greetings to you Marie. Scroll down to see more photographs

Final two photographs below are Camps Bay which is on the Atlantic side of Cape Peninsula but is a swinging area at night...a little more subdued during the day but a real gem of a location. In Oudtshoorn saw something I would have loved to get and it is a passport we will all need someday but was a little confused at the location of the notice on a till...I thought the Lord ran all those money people years ago.
