Photographs of Distinction, Michael OByrne

Congratulations to Rachel Edwards, Lower Llantrothy Farm, Monmouth in Wales and Donal Smith, Burnham, Berkshire who got married in St. Dingat's Church, Dingestow on a glorious afternoon of sunshine and showers that kept away. Led up the aisle by her proud father Lyndon to meet Rev. Simon Guest who performed the wedding service. This was a beautiful historic church built in 1846 by Thomas Henry Wyatt who was born in Roscommon, Ireland in 1807. He designed many churches in these parts. The one thing that impressed me about this wedding was the organ playing of the groom's mother who as always is a joy to listen to. Thanks to the bridesmaids, Catherine, Rhian and Nerys and to the gents Gareth and Brendan for for their help at the Church and to all who assisted with the group photograph. Some ladies lost the run of themselves when they saw this Scotsman with what they termed "lovely legs" and another fellow who liked showing off the hairs on his chest. As this is a rural area in Wales, what better way to leave the church and head off to the farm where a marquee was erected with beautiful Welsh countryside as a backdrop...... the mode of transport to the farm...what else but a tractor and trailer. One gent really stook out in the style stakes, a tie to match that of his partner as you can see below. keep scrolling down to see more photographs. I recall the other gent with the glasses was a one time surfing champion see here.
Click here and do add a message or greeting on my guestbook. Rachel and Donal will also be able to read your messages when they are not enjoying the sights and heat of a land far away towards the South full of gems and will be a popular place next year when many countries will be kicking a ball there.
