This looks what it is an old stone wall, one of many you would see in Ireland but this was taken in McConnell Springs Park, Lexington, Kentucky. This tract of land was claimed by William McConnell in 1775. In the 19th century the McConnell's used to get the Indian's and slaves to gather up all the stones and lay them in lines. He knew how expert Irish people were at building stone walls, particularly in the West of Ireland. When the emigrants arrived from Ireland after the famine, they were employed building walls like this one which still stands to this day. Please note image is compressed to aid speedy downloading.
