Here are some photographs of the Gardai who are attached to Thomastown District and this incorporates all of South Kilkenny and Carlow. Many thanks to all of the members for their co-operation in making these photographs possible. Two members who have just retired were present, Inspector Tom King who decided he had seen enough of me and kept his eyes closed and Sergeant John Donohoe who is going to live in New Ross. We all wish them many happy years in retirement...whilst the Garda Siochana is a brilliant life ...there is also another one out there. That said there is not a person in this country who at some time has not reason to be grateful to a member of the force for some kind or helpful deed. I always recall Gda Tobin in Enniscorthy years ago when I was cycling home as a schoolboy in a dangerous manner, he cautioned me but never told my parents. I was grateful because if he did that would be the end of my bike going to school for many a day. Click here and do add a comment on my guestbook
