Gda. Frank Nolan, Kiljames Upper, Thomastown who retired recently after 30 years service in the Garda Siochana. Frank spent 25 of those years based in Thomastown, Inistioge and lastly in Graiguenamanagh. A function was held last Friday evening in the Longman of Kilfane to celebrate his departure from a post in which he was respected and admired by all who had the privilege of meeting up with him. An old style policeman who saw good in most people, no doubt this attitude was nurtured by his happy upbringing in Ballycourcey, Glenbrien, Co. Wexford. The good news is that two of Frank's sons have already followed in his footsteps and already members of An Garda Siochana
