For relaxation and some snorkelling there is no better place and for those who loved sunbathing well just look at the photograph above. The staff at the Hilton Hotel in Nuweiba are one of the best but for us one waiter with a smile and a manner second to none is pictured above. A gentleman who at all times was most efficient. Looking forward to meeting him again. Final photograph above is of Eilat on the southern tip of Israel. Beautiful swinging city with a number of Irish Bars Please note that these photographs were taken on

Had the pleasure of visiting a part of the world better known for its violence than peace and tranquility but the latter you can find in abundance...the Middle East in particular the Sinai, Jordan and Israel. Anyway stayed in Nuweiba on the Gulf of Aquaba and met up with this crowd some of whom came from England, more from Scotland, Germany and throw in a few Irish and what a mix. Then Tom this Scotsman who was an airline engineer decided after a few drinks its time to give us a blast on his pipe of a few Scottish airs. A few Russian visitors decided it was time to leave but Tom a most courteous individual started up with Somewhere my love from Dr. Zhivago and we had a great chorus as you can guess. A place I visited Petra in Jordan was such a treat for anyone who loves their history, imagine the time spent many thousands of years ago with hammers and chisels on the red rock hacking out what is considered one of the seven wonders of the world. There was this camel there who took a liking for both Coca cola and mineral water. There was this fellow from Dublin called Hugo or Hugh who told me he had a shop in Anne St just off Grafton Street. A real character who loved Egyptian music.
