Photographs of Distinction, Michael OByrne

Back

Congratulations to Catriona Phelan, Tullogher and Michael john Fitzpatrick, Knocktopher who got married in St. Aidan's Church, Tullogher on a glorious afternoon of sunshine and showers that kept away. The one thing that impressed me about this wedding was the singing of Margaret Nolan who as always is a joy to listen to. Thanks to Fr. Cavanagh for his help and to all who assisted with the group photograph. Some people I met at this wedding one was a glamour girl from near Norelands fell in love with a ploughman back a few years ago, another a lady from Danesrath who fell in love with a man high up in the IFA and then there was a fellow like Saddam who loves a teacher with red hair. One gent from Tullogher was trying to sell salmon and assured me they were caught in the Nore and not with a stake net (what's that) but with a rod. There was this girl from down Rosbercon way who was really enjoying the day in a sort of relaxed fashion....a brother of the bride told me she loves rehearsals and not to pay too much heed to her. Amazing the people you meet at a wedding. Off to Woodstock for the photographs and I wish to thank Fiona, Barbara, Bernadette and the gents James, Adrian and John for their help during the afternoon. We were blessed that the showers kept to Kilkenny City area and were gone by the time we arrived at the Springhill Hotel.
Click here and do add a message or greeting on my guestbook. Catriona and Michael John will also be able to read your messages when they not enjoying the sights and heat of a land over the ocean and home to many an Irish person.
