After all the hard slogging out here in the sticks, I got this phone call from the Kilkenny Chamber of Commerce that a Dr. Michael Keegan from Enterprise Ireland was taking a trip out to see how I operate my business. Was really interested to see how I worked and then I got a phone call from the Chamber to come to a Dinner in the Ormonde Hotel on the 5th. April, so this is the result. Ger Mullaly President of Kilkenny Chamber presented me with the Continuous Improvement Award, 2003. Dr. Keegan's comments were " Amazing use of information technology to meet customer needs. Use of the web to add value and interest to customers and others. Very impressive business."I also was a finalist in the Service Provider of the Year awards but beaten by the worthy winners Sentry Security who keep us all safe in the South East. Photograph above is with CEO of the Chamber Allison McGrath and President Ger Mullaly. Final photograph is of all the prize winners with representatives from Chamber of Commerce and sponsors, Kilkenny people newspaper and Vodafone. A former President of the Chamber who down through the years has been helpful to small business and in particular mine, made a comment to me on the night about how important family assistance is, I know only too well how true that is.
