Photograph on the top left is of Fitzgerald's Pub in Avoca, Co. Wicklow, setting of TV series Ballykissangel. Right top is also in Avoca showing the river Avonbeg at a spot known as "The Meetings of the Waters" which inspired Thomas Moore to write a poem in the early part of the 19th. century...later to be made famous by John McCormack. "There is not is this wide world a valley so sweet..." Photograph below is of a pub near Greenane, Rathdrum. There was a fellow here looking for a £5 from me to get permission to take this photograph..he was not the owner either. Finally a view of the upper lake in Glendalough, do you see the mermaid, she hopped up for the photograph!!!
