Here is a location to get away from it all, to really unwind....Adare Manor in Co. Limerick. The town itself is only a mile away, a beautiful village which sadly is remembered for a more violent recent past where a member of the Garda Siochana Gerry McCabe was murdered. The Gothic exterior and gardens are a sight to behold with the River Maigue flowing through the grounds. Below you see a photograph of the Veterans Memorial on the Estate which recognises the contribution of Irish citizens who gave their life during the Vietnam war. Scroll down for more photographs

To cater for ones needs are two ladies on the left is Marie in the reservations section and on the right from Clonakilty is Elaine. Elaine is the cause of many a person leaving the dining room having eaten far too much and what is worse she invites you to have coffee in the library. What books do I see there...how to be slim, healthy and stay young!!!! They have a lovely choice of music though to let the food melt down.
Head there if you really want to get away or visit their website
